Cutting Fuel Consumption

I know that the price of fuel at present is rising like crazy! If not only for our desperate need to go somewhere, we would not be falling in line at the gasoline stations. In short, we are left with no choice. However, we can still save some of our dollars even though the price of fuel is high. We should only learn how to save fuel so that we don’t need anymore to buy as frequent as before. I am already practicing to do it; you want to know it too? Then listen!

First, you should get off the habit of turning your engine on in the morning to warm it. It’s not a good idea. Don’t run the engine sitting there idly for more than 30 seconds. If you turn the engine on, drive directly to where you will be going. Besides, driving the vehicle would warm up the engine faster.

Next, when you are already driving, drive smoothly. As much as you can, do away with hard acceleration and braking because it could use up more fuel.

Also, don’t drag things as much as possible. Carry the load at the top of your vehicle. It would consume less fuel than dragging something.

Another is to use the air conditioner of your vehicle only when it is needed.

Furthermore, always watch your tires. Ensure that they are properly inflated. Otherwise, these will require more energy to roll resulting to a waste of fuel.

Lastly (I know that this is really not the last thing you could do, there are more ways), maintain the good condition of your vehicle. A vehicle in poor condition can only eat up more of your fuel. So better not permit this to happen.

Just do these things for the moment. For sure, you will also experience a cut in your vehicle’s fuel consumption. These steps are far more practical than spending up to the last of your dollar in fuel. Try it.
