Saving money and helping the environment should not mean that you would also compromise safety when it comes to driving. Though the price of fuel had remarkably increased recently and the issue of global warming had been the talk of the town, still, things should be done not just to comply with the demands of the situation. We should also think of ourselves.

One example is the manufacture of small vehicles such as the Smart Fortwo, Toyota Yaris, and the Honda Fit. This type of vehicle is widely-distributed in the market nowadays claiming that they use less fuel and are environment-friendly. A typical person, who wants to save and help, would eventually grab this chance. However, it is better to know more about these little things before purchasing one.

Do you know and would you believe that studies show that it is unsafe to ride in a small car? Researchers say that people who are in a small car are more likely to suffer from bad injuries during crashes compared to those who are in bigger vehicles. To attest to that, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found out that there is a 51 percent possibility that the passengers of small vehicles could get killed during accidents than those who are in vehicles of a larger size. This was based from their 2006 fatality report.

However, this fact does not mean that all makers of small vehicles had failed to make their cars safe. Also, it does not guarantee that all small vehicles are dangerous. For instance, the three small vehicles mentioned above are rated “good” by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after performing crash tests. Meaning, other small cars that received lower ratings than the three are the ones which are really dangerous.

So when you are in the situation of choosing between saving, helping, and living, make sure that you know about these things. Don’t use small cars just to be able to save a dollar; it could eventually make you spend your savings for your hospital bills. Think twice

The Danger in the Quest for Gold

You might wonder why many professional car drivers tend to venture in car racing. And what keeps you into a more serious type of bewilderment is that they are pros already yet many are still exchanging their lives for the fame that the race may give them. I tell you, please do understand them. They have their own version of seeking happiness, much like you do. However, they just can’t avoid accidents. Accidents are accidents, you know.

According to my studies, men always want to engage in activities that could show off their masculinity. They tend to engage in extreme sports to hunt for adventures even though the activity is so much dangerous. Of course, they know that what they are doing is dangerous and that idea makes them feel that they really are sons of Adam when they get to master it and avoid its dangers.

Likely, some men that are searching for attention want to grab the opportunity of getting the attention they want that can be brought by the sport they are into. When they excel in a different kind of sport, the thought of having many people watching them in amazement makes them feel that they are the best actors in a show.

Many other explanations can tell why most men engage in sports such as car racing. But the two reasons mentioned above are the most common. So if you see them on TV again, don’t get mad at them for risking their lives while driving those things on wheels. Understand that they have their own reasons why they are there. Perhaps you see it as the worst thing to do on wheels but in their own minds, it could be the coolest one.

Seeing art cars is a great experience. It’s fulfilling to the eyes for you have the chance to see the talents of various people from different parts of the globe. You have your time to imagine how wild their makers’ imagination is. However, most of the time, art cars are just expressions of people’s feelings and thoughts that make it nonsense after all. Interestingly, I stumbled upon an art car here in the web, which I think, still serves a special purpose. This is the danger art car!

Below are pictures of this car I am talking about so you could follow me. I got these pictures from the Art Cars’ website. Unfortunately, there are only two of them. Still, take your time and check these out:

Would you believe now that the person behind this art car is a full-fledged reverend? Yes, he is Reverend Charles Edward Linville. The “danger car”, as he labeled it, serves a special purpose, as I see it. Take a look at its color, design, and over-all appearance. Its color is basically the color of the police line. It has twisted metals, broken mirrors, ripples, and warning lights. Its physical appearance makes anyone seeing it to realize that cars, indeed, are dangerous. It portrays an image of chaos and an image with the absence of harmony.

I hope everyone gets the message. We should all be careful in dealing with cars. I know you know why - the streets are scary yet cars are scarier if you don’t know how to care about your life and other people’s lives as well. I want to end this blog with the message painted at the rear of the danger art car, portraying Jesus on the cross giving a warning to a little kid named Billy, “DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME.”
